The three main disciplines I taught in PSII were Drama, English, and Welding. Below are examples of planning and curriculum utilized in each.
Dramatic Arts 9-12:
In Drama I taught two main units, one on film and one creating a one act play. The 20/30 class applied film shots to the stage, translating them to performance pieces. Then they created performances which integrated the stage and film. Their final pieces were comprised of projected video and integrated acted components. The 9/10 class instead created a dystopian one act comedy play, for the Pilot lights theatre festival. This was performed amid other plays from other schools. While the play did not win overall, it did win for best actor and best monologue.

English 9
My English unit revolved around the concept of persuasion. To this end, we created advertisements, journaled about persuasive trading starting from paper clips, and created scholarship applications and business letters. We also engaged in debates, analyzed media and product advertisements, and the psychology of persuaded perception through magic tricks.

Welding: In our welding class, students learned about safety and the science behind welding. After this initial period, they created candleholders and other projects. I was given the opportunity to teach a metallurgy unit to the students, and use my blacksmithing background in this regard. The students handled various metals, determined their properties, and then filled out a worksheet documenting these properties. I showed some videos on how these metals and refined and manipulated, using modern and historic examples.
